Minister of Commerce Forms the Permanent Technical Committee for Setting Accounting Rules and Auditing Guidelines

The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Faisal Al-Mudlij, issued a decision forming the "Permanent Technical Committee for Setting Accounting Rules and Auditing Guidelines", chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary for Companies and Commercial Licenses Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Article Two of the decision set out four tasks for the committee: establishing the code of professional ethics to be observed in practicing the auditing profession; determining the minimum data to be shown in the financial statements required to be published; periodically reviewing the accounting rules and principles; and conducting research and studies to develop the auditing function.
