Warning on the Consumer's Right to Exchange and Return Goods

Warning and Notice

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry alerts shops and sales centers to the necessity of complying with the Ministry of Commerce law, which stipulates the consumer's right to exchange and return goods within 14 days of the date of purchase stated in the invoice. The law has exempted valuable goods such as jewelry, watches, eyeglasses, evening wear, wedding attire, items in contact with the skin (swimwear and underwear) and perfumes, for which the exchange and return period is one day, provided that the return option is stated in the purchase invoice; in all cases, the goods must be in their original condition.

The Ministry warns that it will take legal action against violators of this decision in order to protect consumer rights.

The Ministry of Commerce urges consumers not to hesitate to file a complaint when they are subjected to such practices so that we may take the necessary action.
